THE PLATFORM
At the heart of the Ecosystem is the Product Development Platform. The web platform enables product professionals to manage and execute every aspect of their mechanical designs, using established, robust design principles, in a new, fresh, and user-friendly way.
- Cloud & Infra: Google Cloud (GCP) managed with Terraform
- Backend: Node.js microservices, GraphQL API, and a 3D analysis core written in C++
- Frontend: TypeScript, React, MUI, Apollo
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
You will spearhead the DevOps and Platform operations at RD8, ensuring our services remain highly performant as we scale our user base. Your day-to-day will involve:
- Infrastructure as Code: Monitoring, maintaining, and scaling our cloud environments (GCP) using Terraform
- Pipelines & Automation: Improving and optimizing our CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI/CD) and test setups to ensure smooth deployments.
- Developer Experience (DevEx): Enhancing local development workflows to help the rest of the engineering team deliver great features faster.
- Security & Compliance: Taking ownership of our security posture. You will manage data security compliance (like ISO27001) using modern, automated compliance management tools.
Ideally, you will also find joy in developing the software itself, so you can help the rest of the team deliver great features to our clients.
WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU
Requirements:
- Experience with developing and maintaining cloud infrastructure, preferably in GCP using Terraform
- Hands-on experience with Docker and GitLab CI/CD (or similar, e.g., GitHub Actions)
- Proficiency with Git and Git workflows
Bonus if you have
- Experience with (or willingness to get familiarized with) data security compliance frameworks such as ISO27001 or similar
- Ability to work both collaboratively and independently, be creative and open for new ideas, and work with high dedication and self-motivation
- Solid programming skills in various scripting languages
- Experience with running hybrid solutions (SaaS + on-premise)
