If you’re an experienced RD8 user, you’ll immediately notice enhanced capabilities in detecting and filtering contact geometry. The new model now identifies contact surfaces in:
- Complex geometries – including organic shapes, bevels, and rounded edges
- Multi-dimensional contact types – detecting points, lines, planes, and intricate surface interactions

Note: Support for interference contacts (where geometries overlap) is still in an experimental stage. As a result, you may notice incomplete contact surfaces—for example, in threads and press fits.
